Hello, 

 

I am Guliya, a family photographer based in Inverness, Scotland, specialising in beautiful, natural portraits of families, children, and anyone who wants to capture the people and moments that mean the most. For me, photography is about so much more than taking a beautiful photograph. It's about preserving a feeling-the way your little one reaches for your hand, the laughter that happens when nobody is looking, the cuddles, the little fleeting moments you wish you could hold onto forever. 

Whether we are exploring the beautiful Scottish outdoors, creating memories in the comfort of your own home, or having a relaxed session in my home studio in Inverness. My approach is natural, relaxed & candid. I want you to feel comfortable being yourselves, without pressure to pose perfectly. I gently guide you when needed, while allowing genuine moments to unfold naturally.

My Photography Journey

 

My photography journey wasn't a straightforward one. I am originally from Kazakhstan. I spent more than 15 years working in the oil and gas industry It was very different world from photography, but life has a wonderful way of leading us in unexpected directions. 

After the birth of my gorgeous daughter, something changed in me. I began taking photographs of her-capturing the tiny details, her expressions, her laughter, and those everyday moments that seemed to disappear far too quickly. 

What started as a passion gradually became something much more meaningful. I discovered how much I love telling stories through photographs and preserving memories that could be looked back on for years to come. 

In 2021, I moved to Scotland, and moving to a new country was another big chapter in my life; Scotland quickly became a place that inspired me creatively. 

I opened my own photography studio- a warm and welcoming space where families can slow down, relax, and enjoy being together. 

As a mum myself, I know how quickly children grow. We spend so much time taking care of everyone else that we sometimes forget to step into the photographs ourselves. Years later, it is often the simple photographs that become the most precious-the ones that show how small your children were, how you looked at each other. 

That's what I create for you. Photographs that feel real. Photographs that make you smile. Photographs that bring you back to a moment, even years later.
